Meet our team of professionals:

Carolina Comfort Air opened their doors in Smithfield, NC with Phillip Tyler and Hank Richard at the helm in May of 2007. Since 2007 we have built a new base of operations in Clayton, NC on US 70 Business West. We have also been able to expand to the Jacksonville area with a second branch located on highway 17. With a combined experience of 18 years and after holding every position in the HVAC world, Phillip and Hank felt they had what it took to offer a better HVAC experience to the consumer. Hank and Phillip have traveled across the country to numerous HVAC training seminars and conferences to stay up to date in the forever-changing market of the HVAC industry. Carolina Comfort Air specializes in single family, multi family, and light commercial, new construction and replacements. The experience you have with Carolina Comfort Air will be ever lasting.

PhillipTyler
President

Phillip Tyler is the president of Carolina Comfort Air.  While a helper, Phillip attended night school to earn his HVAC diploma.  After receiving his diploma in 2004 Phillip moved into a service technician’s position.  After several years of around the clock hours of being a service technician, he decided to expand his knowledge and move up into an office position for service technician training, sales, load calculations and installation supervision. After he felt he gained the knowledge of assisting builders, homeowners, and his understudies, Phillip decided to move forward and attain his HVAC license to open Carolina Comfort Air with the assistance of Hank Richard.

Vice President

Hank Richard is the vice president of Carolina Comfort Air.  Hank got his foot in the HVAC door in 2000 as an entry-level helper.  Since his first day in the HVAC industry, Hank has held every position in the field.  He spent several years as a field supervisor dealing hands on with builders and homeowners and uses all of his years of experience with customer relations to ensure Carolina Comfort Air’s customers receive the absolute best experience possible.  After opening Carolina Comfort Air with Phillip, Hank has dealt with every aspect of the HVAC industry. 

       
 

JoshReason
Jacksonville Area Manager

Josh Reason is the Jacksonville and surrounding area manager.  He is in charge of scheduling, meeting with superintendents, and ensuring the installation in new construction is up to company standards.  Josh has made a quick transition from March of 2008 when he started as an entry-level helper.  As the company grew, Josh’s HVAC experience was accelerated.  He spent many long days under the guidance of Phillip and Hank to get all aspects of the HVAC world.

       
 

J.P.Moore
Fayetteville Area Supervisor

J.P. Moore started out in HVAC in 2001 doing residential installation as a helper and quickly moved up to a mechanic.  He has been working with Carolina Comfort Air since July 2007 and is the territorial supervisor for Fayetteville and surrounding area.  J.P. meets with builders, superintendents, and homeowners in order to see that jobs are complete and done correctly.  Drawing layouts on new construction projects and designing comfort systems is also part of his job.
