Carolina Comfort Air Goes to the Fair!

This year, the Carolina Comfort Air team took our comfort mission on the road — all the way to the North Carolina State Fair! Between the lights, laughter, and (let’s be honest) a lot of deep-fried goodness, we had one goal in mind: talk comfort with fairgoers and see just how much North Carolinians really know about their HVAC systems.

We spent the day trying some of the fair’s most talked-about foods — from Korean corn dogs and mac & cheese bowls to pickle pizza (yes, it’s a thing!). But between bites, we turned into roaming interviewers with one big question: how comfortable are you, really?

Our team stopped random fair visitors to ask things like:

  • “Do you know what HVAC actually stands for?”
  • “What’s your thermostat set at today?”
  • “When’s the last time you changed your air filter?”
  • “Would you rather your A/C break in the peak of summer or your heat go out in the middle of winter?”
  • “How cold do you keep it at night?”
  • “What’s your comfort temperature?”

And because no one walks away from the fair empty-handed, everyone who joined in on our comfort chat got a sweet treat — a candy apple or bag of cotton candy as a thank-you from our team.

The answers were hilarious, honest, and sometimes… a little concerning (yes, someone really said they hadn’t changed their filter in a whole year).

It was the perfect mix of fair food, fun, and a little HVAC education — reminding everyone that comfort isn’t just about the weather outside, but how well your system inside is running.

Stay tuned for our video recap — you won’t want to miss the funniest answers we got on camera!
