At Carolina Comfort Air, we believe comfort goes beyond heating and cooling. It’s about creating spaces where people feel included, supported, and able to fully participate in everyday life. That belief is what drives us to stay involved in the communities we serve, not just through our work, but through meaningful initiatives that make a real impact.
Back in November 2025, our team began working with Princeton Elementary School to help bring a wheelchair-accessible swing to their playground. What started as a conversation quickly turned into a shared goal. There was a clear need, and we knew it was something we wanted to be part of.
Now, with the project complete and the swing officially installed, we had the opportunity to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony this past weekend. It was a simple moment, but a powerful one. Watching students gather around, seeing the excitement build, and knowing that this swing opens the door for more children to play alongside their peers made the entire process worthwhile.
Playgrounds are meant to be places where kids can be kids. For some students, access to that experience isn’t always guaranteed. This addition helps change that. It creates an opportunity for inclusion in a space where it matters most, during the everyday moments of recess, laughter, and connection.
We’re especially grateful to Ms. Brandi Banks for recognizing the need and bringing the idea to us. Her initiative set everything in motion. We also want to thank former Principal Ashley Radford for helping coordinate the project from the start, and new Principal Melissa Edgerton for organizing such a thoughtful and well-attended celebration. Despite the chilly weather, it meant a lot to see so many teachers, staff, and students come out to support the occasion.
What stood out most wasn’t just the swing itself, but what it represents. It’s a reminder that small, intentional efforts can have a lasting impact. Something as simple as adding one piece of equipment can create a more inclusive environment and give more students the chance to feel seen, included, and part of the community.
At Carolina Comfort Air, we’re proud to support Princeton Elementary and honored to play a role in a project like this. It’s something we’ll carry with us, and it reinforces our commitment to continuing to invest in the people and places that make our communities stronger.
