This past weekend, Carolina Comfort Air proudly joined Team Hoover at the Bike MS: Historic New Bern Ride, standing alongside thousands of cyclists and supporters rallying for one powerful cause—ending multiple sclerosis. As a major sponsor for Team Hoover, we were honored to cheer on their riders and be part of an unforgettable event filled with energy, determination, and hope.
Who is Team Hoover?
Team Hoover is more than just a cycling team—it’s a community. Founded in 2012 by a Sunday School class at First Baptist Church on Salisbury Street in Raleigh, Team Hoover was inspired by Chris Hoover, a father of triplet girls, former basketball coach, and a true model of courage as he continues his fight with MS. Over the years, the team has grown to include friends, neighbors, and supporters from all over, united by the mission to raise awareness and provide resources for those impacted by MS.
Through events like Bike MS and their annual Cul-de-Sac Party fundraiser, Team Hoover helps cover the cost of essential equipment and minor home improvements for people living with MS, making day-to-day life just a little easier.
A Weekend of Inspiration
The Bike MS: Historic New Bern Ride is more than a cycling event—it’s a movement. Riders pedaled through scenic Eastern North Carolina for two days, powered not only by strength and stamina but also by a shared purpose: to raise funds for critical MS research, programs, and services.
From the bustling energy at the start line to the cheers along the route, the atmosphere was electric. Downtown shops extended their hours to welcome participants, families gathered to support their loved ones, and everywhere you looked, there was an undeniable sense of unity.

Carolina Comfort Air’s Role
As a proud sponsor of Team Hoover, our CCA team showed up to support the riders, connect with the community, and help spread awareness about this important cause. Being there to hand out encouragement (and maybe a few high-fives!) was a reminder of why we do what we do—community matters, and so does showing up for one another.
Why It Matters
Bike MS is the largest fundraising cycling series in the world, with nearly 40,000 riders and 4,000 teams participating nationwide. Every dollar raised helps fund research, advocacy, and direct support for people living with MS, ensuring they feel less alone in their journey.
Carolina Comfort Air is honored to play a small role in this larger mission. Supporting Team Hoover means supporting families, friends, and neighbors who are facing the daily challenges of MS with strength and resilience.
Looking Ahead
We left the weekend inspired by the riders’ determination and the community’s generosity. Carolina Comfort Air is proud to stand behind Team Hoover and the National MS Society as they continue the fight against MS—and we can’t wait to keep cheering, supporting, and riding alongside this incredible community in the years to come.
