Thanks to Rod Sanders, our Warehouse Manager at the Clayton location, and his father—the pitmaster behind the magic and the heart behind Sweet Lo’s Kitchen—Rib Day has become one of those beloved, unofficial traditions that everyone looks forward to. Every so often, Roc’s dad blesses the team with trays of mouthwatering BBQ: ribs, chicken, and all the fixings. And when the food shows up, the whole office knows.
You’ll hear whispers in the hallway, coworkers peeking into the breakroom with hopeful eyes, and maybe even a few excited grins from those who got the inside scoop early. It’s like a surprise holiday that only Rod and his dad can make happen.
We’re not totally sure where or how the food is prepped—some say the ribs are smoked to perfection hours ahead, others claim it’s a secret recipe passed down through generations—but one thing’s for sure: it brings us all together.
