Giving back to our local communities has always been part of who we are at Carolina Comfort Air. Today, a few of our team members took a break from heating and cooling to serve up something a little different—warm meals and friendly smiles at A Place at the Table in downtown Raleigh.
This nonprofit café operates on a pay-what-you-can model, ensuring that everyone has access to a hot, made-from-scratch meal—no matter their circumstances. Guests have the option to pay the suggested price, pay what they’re able, volunteer in exchange for their meal, or pay it forward to help someone else.
During our time volunteering, our team jumped into action—prepping silverware, cleaning tables, serving food, and greeting guests. The energy inside the café was full of warmth and purpose. Whether you were behind the counter or sitting down for a meal, everyone was treated with dignity and respect. It was more than just a place to eat—it was a place to connect.
The experience was a reminder that small actions can make a big difference. In just one morning, we saw firsthand how a welcoming meal and a helping hand can brighten someone’s day. We’re proud to have been a small part of the mission that A Place at the Table lives out every single day.
We believe strong communities are built on kindness, service, and support—and we’re grateful for opportunities like this to be part of something meaningful.
